Research Interests:
Development of DNA markers for curatorial and population genetic studies of important crop plant species with emphasis on automated DNA synthesis, sequencing and fluorescence-based, automated genotyping technology.

Past Research Interests:
Molecular genetics of anopheline mosquitoes including: biosystematics of species complexes; molecular
population genetics; molecular evolution, speciation and phylogenetic relationships of Culicidae; development of species-specific DNA probes for both mosquito vectors and pathogens; genetics of sex determination and insecticide resistance; mosquito cytogenetics.
